چکیده
The phenomena of binary collisions and coalescence droplets was investigated from experimental studies but still are missing real applications such as fuel injector. main purpose the current study is to investigate a practical port To accomplish this, direct microscopic images taken high speed video camera coupled with long-distance microscope Barlow lens using backlighting method. Experimental optimization spatial resolution depth -of -field achieved. results compared predictions empirical equations for different collision regimes. Droplet sizes velocities values predicted by equations. this are: probability very low in tangential velocity components small play an essential role shape deformation during droplets. previous published calculate dimensionless parameters, Weber number, droplet diameter ratio, impact parameter applicable

Temperature-Induced Coalescence of Colliding Binary Droplets on Superhydrophobic Surface
This report investigates the impact of droplet temperature on the head-on collision of binary droplets on a superhydrophobic surface. Understanding droplet collision is critical to many fundamental processes and industrial applications. There are many factors, including collision speed, collision angle, and droplet composition, that influence the outcome of the collision between binary droplets...
متن کاملNovel design for transparent high-pressure fuel injector nozzles.
The efficiency and emissions of internal combustion (IC) engines are closely tied to the formation of the combustible air-fuel mixture. Direct-injection engines have become more common due to their increased practical flexibility and efficiency, and sprays dominate mixture formation in these engines. Spray formation, or rather the transition from a cylindrical liquid jet to a field of isolated ...
متن کاملCoalescence and Breakup of Oppositely Charged Droplets
The coalescence process of oppositely charged drops for different electrical conductivities of liquids is presented. When the electrical conductivity was relatively low, oppositely charged drops failed to coalesce under sufficiently high electrical fields and capillary ripples were formed on the surfaces of droplets after rebound. For a high electrically conductive liquid, it was found that a c...
متن کاملNiTiNb PLUGS FOR SEALING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PASSAGES IN FUEL INJECTOR APPLICATIONS
A typical heavy-duty diesel fuel injector comprises of a solenoid control valve, a plunger cylinder and a fuel passage linking the first two elements. Through this passage a fuel communication is established where the fuel is delivered into the plunger cylinder via control valve. The plunger pressurizes the fuel in excess of 32,000 psi and the high-pressure fuel is injected through spray nozzle...
متن کاملDecompressing emulsion droplets favors coalescence.
The destabilization process of an emulsion under flow is investigated in a microfluidic device. The experimental approach enables us to generate a periodic train of droplet pairs, and thus to isolate and analyze the basic step of the destabilization, namely, the coalescence of two droplets which collide. We demonstrate a counterintuitive phenomenon: coalescence occurs during the separation phas...
